Jaime started out his biking career at the tender age of 12 thrashing around on BMX’s, progressing to mountain biking in the early 90’s racing through the ranks to become a professional mountain bike racer, riding for Muddy Fox, Rocky Mountain and representing Great Britain in the European and World Championships.
Not just satisfied with mountain biking he has also raced at elite level in other cycling disciplines, cycle-cross and road racing. His love of the mountains has also developed him as an accomplished snowboarder. His career path however took a different route after studying Civil Engineering and Project Management, ending up working in the construction industry. Although he never stopped riding and racing, his love has always been anything to do with cycling and exploring as many places as possible both in the UK and Worldwide.
Using his many years of riding and racing experience he has now made mountain biking his career as a qualified mountain bike guide and instructor, road leader, qualified mechanic and now brand ambassador/rider for Lapierre bikes.
His experience as a rider includes guiding groups over a number of years in Chamonix and 20 years of racing from Cross Country, Downhill, and the past 6 years Enduro racing. Now on his 3rd season racing in selected Enduro World Series races and a number of epic events such as the Trans Provence in France as well as many UK events. With this experience he is perfectly placed to offer a wealth of cycling knowledge, skill and understanding to anyone taking part in our adventures and holidays.
Jaime is fully insured MBL3 instructor and British Cycling Level 3 qualified leader, BASP Outdoor First Aid certified and British Cycling Tour Leader.
